Improve Your Running offers a unique opportunity to train under the influence and guidance of one of Britain’s best runners, Andy Vernon and his wife, Tasha. Andy has a vastly impressive array of personal bests from 800m to Half Marathon and achievements spanning road, cross country, indoor and outdoor track. Having been a world-class international runner since 2004 and with over 18 years of experience being one of the topped ranked runners in the country it’s fair to say you’ll be in safe hands. Tasha is a qualified personal trainer specialising in weight loss and pre & post natal training and a dietary analyser who is also a keen runner having represented England over cross country.
Improve Your Running offers three varying packages. Each package differs in what you receive and one is aimed specifically at women post child birth. The one thing that remains constant, however, is that you will receive a bespoke plan written to your individual requirements, training load, fitness level, injury status and lifestyle. This isn’t a “one size fits all” 12-week race preparation plan where you have to figure out your own efforts and paces to train at, within a generic session. This is a bespoke, individualised week-by-week training plan based on you.
The Running Package is suitable for all runners alike, whether you are a battle hardened park runner or avid marathoner looking to lose those extra minutes on the clock or just starting your running journey and need some professional advice on how to get through that 10K or Half Marathon you've just signed up to.
The New arrival of the Post Natal Package is extremely unique and unprecedented. This package is aimed solely at women post child birth who are looking to either start running for the first time or start back running again. With this package you get both the expertise of Andy's running & training knowledge mixed with Tasha's pre & post natal exercise knowledge along with her food diary analysis which is particularly important for women who are breastfeeding.
Also new to 2019 is the dietary analysis package. There is an initial consultation and a review of a 7-day food diary as a one off analysis. If you would like to continue with a weekly feedback and suggestions, this will be done via email communication with Tasha. Tasha is a fully qualified Personal Trainer and a Dietary Advisor, specialising in weight loss for her clients. Analysing diet and nutrition is where her clients make the biggest gains in losing weight above exercising itself so if you feel losing a few lbs. could benefit you the Dietary Analysis Package is a good option.
Package 1 provides an initial consultation to learn your current training load, fitness level, goals and targets, general information on you as a runner and your lifestyle and commitments.
A bespoke training plan will be provided on a weekly basis with detailed descriptions of paces, efforts and training sessions.
Unlimited communication via phone calls, text messages, whatsapp and emails throughout the week to talk about previous and forthcoming training, races, general guidance and injuries etc.
Bespoke goal setting and race planning for future improvements.
£20 PER WEEK
POST NATAL PACKAGE
The Post Natal package is aimed at women who would like to start or return to running after child birth.
A program to restore and strengthen your core and pelvic floor muscles and food diary analysis with feedback and guidance.
An initial consultation to learn your current training load, fitness level, goals and targets, general information on you as a runner and a Mum and your lifestyle and commitments.
A bespoke training plan will be provided on a weekly basis with detailed descriptions of paces, efforts, training sessions and core exercises.
Unlimited communication via phone calls, text messages, whatsapp and email to talk about progress, nutrition and running and core program.
A minimum of 8 weeks commitment must be made for this package.
Once satisfactory progress has been made and the additional provisions of this package are no longer required, if you would like to continue training with us, we will move you on to the Running Package.
£30 PER WEEK
A One-off or on-going food diary analysis provided by Tasha.
An initial consultation will be carried out on the phone to discuss and build a profile of any food intolerances, allergies, likes/dislikes.
You will provide a 7-day food diary for Tasha to analyse. She will then make suggestions and alterations to improve your dietary intake to compliment your specific life-style and training loads.
On-going food diary analysis will be done via email.
ONE-OFF - £40
ON-GOING - £15 PER WEEK
HOW IT WORKS
Improve Your Running is very simple, contact us via the enquire button or use the contact information at the bottom of each page to set up an initial consultation. The consultation will be a discussion about which package(s) you are enquiring about, your personal circumstances such as current training loads, race history, fitness levels, weight, injury history, targets, goals, time post childbirth and your lifestyle and day-to-day commitments.
If you’re happy and would like to proceed with training, your first bespoke training plan will be sent to you and you can look forward to your improvements!
After your initial training plan, all subsequent training plans will be sent out on a weekly basis with the following weeks training. All packages include communication between you, Andy and Tasha (depending on package) this can be flexible or set to certain time(s) and day(s) to work around your lifestyle and commitments.
APPEARANCES AND PUBLIC SPEAKING
As well as personal coaching, Andy also delivers an array of public appearances such as
club training evenings
presentations on how to structure training, preparing for championships, injury advice and how to best prevent them and other training modalities to improve performance in addition to running
